My Computer - A Poem

If you thought that this poem would be serious, you surely must be most delirious,
For I write as I feel and it's not a big deal but I know that you all will agree
As you use the computer you'll know it's not a straight shooter sometimes it runs fast then runs slow
It dulls up your senses and breaks down your defenses when the keys and the words just won't go.

A virus appears and you're filled with new fears as it seems that your work is all gone
Things appear here and there and some disappear and it seems that the line has been drawn
There's someone out there with nary a care who just wants to make your life rough
He messes up what you've done and you've only begun and you really think this is enough.

The mouse in the house is not really a louse but a tool that you use when you sit on your stool to fix all the words that you write
It moves all around without making a sound and helps put all your thoughts in plain sight.

There's pictures called icons that help to denote the programs within that surely connote
The things you can do as if you already knew what those programs were meant to be for
But still you must strive to always contrive to learn more then more and some more.

What first does appear are Windows we hear no longer the type that let light in
But a system created to keep your breath baited in a battle you can't seem to win
It changes each year as new ones appear to make sure you keep on your toes
The new one is better they tell you by letter but surely no one really knows.

If you hit the wrong key you'll surely see the result isn't what you meant it to be
But a series of words that is meant for the birds not the sentence you wanted to see
There is a delete key that helps you to get free when first you see that mistake
If you don't pay attention it could lead to great tension and you could look just like a flake.

CTRL ALT DEL cannot compete with the chance to make a cold boot
If you're not sure how to use it you shouldn't abuse it or the results could turn out to be mute
It's a quick way to restart when things seem to impart your computer just stopped working with you
It starts everything over, makes you fell like a rover, as it starts everything all anew.

When you learn shortcut keys you'll move with great ease and learn how to control
What you see on the screen so your typing is clean and you don't have to continually scroll
It does surely appear that the computer will steer you to do what is right from the start
So no matter the error that gives your heart terror your words it will always impart.

You must learn how to use it and never abuse it and soon you will see it's an aid
That does all your bidding without any kidding and it's system can never be swayed
It won't change its mind nor be too unkind as long as you use it correctly
And respond to commands and meet all your demands as it types what you want most directly.

Your personal computer is always a straight shooter no matter its obvious flaws
It makes your work quicker and never will dicker as it follows technology laws
So use it don't bruise it and soon you will learn all the help you can get from its use
And you'll find yourself happy without being sappy as it turns out to be what you you choose.
