My Poem for Valentine's Day
62A short poem for Valentine's Day. I write this to my husband of forty-five years hoping there's more of the same in store for both of us.
We once met a long time ago and knew we were meant to be
Our hearts spoke out and showed us both what our eyes could not see
A love that would last through years and years to show the world anew
That our hearts were right and so it went that I always belonged to you.
No easy path our lives did take, we had our ups and downs
But together we traveled through that time and always stood our ground
As each new day brought challenges we always were prepared
Because we knew no matter what we knew each other cared.
You’ve given me so much in all you say and do
Without a thought to all the wondrous things you’ve brought, always standing true
Our lives are special every day with children by our side
Who would’ve thought it would be thus when I was just a bride.
This love we have will always grow as decades pass us by
Sharing, joking, learning seeing all in our mind’s eye
A future filled with happiness for all our family
From that great love that always stems from you and through to me.

Valentine's Day Poem is nice, however I look at this as a Happy Annversary card to Husband. I was afraid the tears I shed reading this loving poem was going to short out my puter. The Rose, one of my all time favorite songs. Mare, you capatured the moment. Reinforced my love for MY husband, and I'm so glad we are still married. as you, in the minority;. Luv ya

I stood over the computer with my fingers, looking at me asking: what do you wish that I do ? I said write!
Some pictures , when envisioned, just leaves you is a sort of suspended, while you search for an answer that is also well meant.
Words alone don't always described it correctly, but a picture may say. I understand and it's beautiful.
When someone that I have met , has this special phrase, attached to their portfolio .
I can only say,like Moses, both your love withstood the test of time .
